Pearl Care 101
In order to keep your pearls looking their very best there are a few key things to remember.
Pearls can be harmed by contact with many chemicals found in household cleaners, baking soda and vinegar.
Don't use tarnish remover or any other jewellery cleaner.
Always remove your pearls before you put on perfume or hairspray as both can damage pearls.
If you do need to wash your pearls just use water if a soft cloth doesnt work. Never wear your strung pearls when wet as they will stretch. Lay flat and dry.
Always remember that your pearls should be the last thing you put on when dressing and the first thing you take off when you get home.
Its important to have your pearls checked periodically over time as the pearl string wears out and stretches so they may need restringing.
Above all enjoy your pearls!!
